Edward Turanta L. is 32 years old. He is married to Naitunkera who has a small business selling jewels. They have three children. Edward has been farming for the past five years, making a monthly income of 10,000 KES.
Edward was introduced to Kiva partner, KADET by an already registered customer. He has been a good client who repays his loans well. This is his third loan, with which he plans to buy farm inputs and some animals (for fattening, to be sold at a profit) and hire machinery for preparing the land. Wheat has proved to be doing well in his area due to good climatic conditions. With the profits Edward hopes to make from this loan, he plans to reinvest in the farm and plant more acres of wheat. His future dream is that he will be able to buy a bigger piece of land where he can plant more wheat for commercial purposes, buy his own farm machinery and educate his children. He is a hardworking man who is focused on his set goals.
