Mario has been married to Matilde for several years. They have six children. Three of their children are still dependent while the other three are already married and live independently.
Together, Mario and his wife set up a grocery store in their home which is located in a very densely-populated neighborhood. They started out with a little capital from the wages that they made in their previous jobs.
Thanks to their work, they have educated their children and been able to buy everything they need for their household. In addition to running their grocery store, Mario also works from home as a mechanic. He set up a small workshop so that he could increase his income and help his wife to cover their household expenses.
This is the first time that Mario has requested a Kiva loan. He hopes to receive help from Kiva lenders since he has very good references in his credit file. He would like the loan to buy a variety of merchandise such as sugar, rice, noodles, soap, cleaning products, personal care products, etc.
