Marcelina J., from the village of Sinama, is 58 years old, married, and has four school-aged children. To make a living, Marcelina has been planting and harvesting corn for sale for over 28 years, earning approximately 20,000 PHP a month.

In 2008, Marcelina joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities.
