Buraima's Group
In this Group: Buraima , Rukiyahon, Zamira, Rejabhon, Inoyathon
Buraima M., 65, is the leader of this group. She is one of the respectable women in her local community, and has forty years of experience in cattle breeding and dairy business. She has lived in her hometown of Aravan for sixty-five years and knows best of all the pleasant conditions for cattle breeding that this area provides. Many head of cattle have passed through her care.

Nowadays she owns a cow with a calf. It yields fresh milk every morning which she distributes to her regular customers. Buraima remembers how, being a young lady in 1971, she started with the purchase of her first cow, in which she put big hopes, and spent the last savings in her family budget. At that time, she and her husband were a young couple and her husband was farmer. Since that time, milk products bring in a significant portion of Buraima’s income.

Thanks to those financial assets, she raised three kids, helped with their employment and finished major repairing at her house. She invests her monthly income of about $215 back into her business. This time she needs some financial assistance in purchasing one more cow. In future she dreams of having a large fruit orchard.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
