A loan of $1,600 helped to buy calves for his farm and to expand his beekeeping operations.

Arman's story

Arman M. was born in 1986. He lives in Sevkar village, in the Ijevan area, with his wife, his parents, and a brother.

After serving in the Armenian army, Arman joined his family's business. Specifically, he and his family are engaged in cattle-breeding, beekeeping, and farming. Arman says that farming is a very hard business, not only because it is labor-intensive, but also because he has to defend the beehives from bears, who sometimes steal them from the villagers. Since last month Arman has also worked as a truck driver to supplement his income while he continues with his farming operations.

This would be Arman’s second loan from both Kiva and Nor Horizon. He is seeking a loan in the amount of 600,000 AMD ($1,600) to buy some calves for his farm and to increase the number of his beehives.
