This Kiva borrower is a 42-year-old Lebanese single man living with his parents and one sibling. He has worked in multiple restaurants and snack bars for more than 20 years. This acquisition of experience permitted him to open his own snack bar in 2001. He started serving customers yummy sandwiches and subs such as fajitas, chicken, and beef.
Recently, he transformed his snack bar into a diner and began to offer customers appetizers, salads, and platters. He helps his father with the household expenses. Today, he is requesting to borrow $1200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase supplementary food and other products. He is confident that he will always consider the demand of his customers and hopes that the loan will positively impact his business.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
