Construyendo Sueños Group
In this Group: Mireya, Felipa Elvira, Abelina, Maria Mayel, Areli, Marlene, Yanet, Paz, Yaneth, Maria Erika
This group is called 'CONSTRUYENDO SUEÑOS' (Building Dreams) because, for the group, receiving a loan is the first step in building dreams in their businesses. This brings improvements and is reflected financially in the lives of each of the group's members. The group is located in Hidalgo, in Mexico. It has 10 members.

Yaneth P. Hernández is a member of this group. She is 27 years old and studied up to elementary school level. She is a saleswoman and has one child (a son). Her business is selling chicken, chilis and spices. This is her main business and has been for two years. She also sells sweet treats as an additional activity.

Yaneth is requesting this loan to invest in merchandise for her businesses to make them grow. As she requested the loan, Yaneth felt enthusiastic because, on the basis of the loan, she is planning to make a bigger investment in her businesses and, in this way, start to make more profits which will allow her to provide her family with a better quality of life. Owing to the great demand that she has, she is planning to expand her business premises since the space is starting to become too small for the variety of products that she currently sells and which she is planning to sell over time.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
