Rene is a farmer who owns land in his town. He tills his land and prepares it well for cropping. Rene grows rice that he sells to his community. He usually earns about 3,000 PHP from his farming. Rene also owns a sari-sari (variety) store that his wife manages. They sell noodles, canned goods and other kinds of products. Rene says that the store helps the family with their daily needs.
Rene has requested a loan to purchase seeds, fertilizers and additional merchandise to sell. He is hopeful that this loan will help his businesses to grow.
