Majid S. is a married man. His wife takes care of the household chores while Majid goes out to run their motorcycle business. They have two children aged four and two years old. Majid and his wife hope to give a good education to their kids until they reach university level. His business is located at the Nyalenda-Kachok area in Kisumu.
Kisumu is the region of Kenya known for the production of fish. It harbours Lake Victoria and is commonly known as the lake basin.
Majid has been in the transportation business for five years and has two employees. He says that his business is profitable and his major challenge is theft. Thugs pretend to be customers and, on their way to the destination, they rob the person rendering the service. However, he works very hard to keep his business doing well. He plans to use his loan of Kes 50,000 to buy another motorcycle to grow his business. He hopes to buy rickshaws some day. He describes himself as a visionary man.
