The V.R.C. GRUPO DE MUJERES MUSHUC ÑAN women's group is from the Guanto Cruz community in Guanujo parish which belongs to the Guaranda Canton. The group has 22 members who are all active in agricultural work, such as growing mulberries, corn, livestock and dairy cattle for cheese production.

Maria grows mulberries and corn and raises livestock. She buys her products in Guaranda and sells them at the Guaranda fair.

She is requesting a loan to buy farm equipment, livestock and feed. This support will help her economically to meet her needs. She is up against challenges such as plagues, illness and weather change. Her dream is to buy more livestock and pay for an education for her children.

She enjoys walking, knitting and participating in the community festivities and Christmas celebrations.
