Rosa is 39 years of age but this is her 6th loan with SPBD. She has six children who are all schooling in the village secondary school. She is a very hard working mother and through her hard work, she has managed to bring her family to where they are now. Through her loans with SPBD she has managed to renovate her home and build a new bathroom for her family. Rosa is very thankful for the support SPBD has given her that has improved her family's lifestyle and looks forward to improving it further with her newest loan.
South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) improves conditions for families living in poverty by providing accessible credit, training, and guidance to help them start, grow and maintain micro-businesses, build assets, finance home improvements, and afford to educate their children. 99% of SPBD’s loans go to women, who can borrow in groups to guarantee one another rather than put up collateral.
