Elvia María Del Rosario
Every two weeks, the 'Creciendo para el Futuro' (Growing for the Future) community bank meets in a sector known as 'Parque Forestal', in the city of Portoviejo. This area is known for its beautiful park and also for its lush vegetation and beautiful landscape.

Here we meet Elvia who is 45 years old and a single mother with three children. Two of her children are already grown up and she also has a 13 year-old daughter. Two of her children live with her. One is studying at university and the youngest is in school. Elvia has been a member of her community bank for two years and she likes her fellow group members.

Elvia has a small restaurant where she prepares meals, sandwiches and other products. She works every evening from 5.00pm to 10.00pm. She only sells evening meals since they make her the best profits. She also takes advantage of the fact that her daughter can help her at this time of day since she studies in the morning. Elvia tells us that she has been in her business for 4 years. It is doing very well and she is very grateful to Fundación Espoir for the help that they have given her.

Elvia will use this loan to buy products for making her meals. Her dream is to provide her daughters with a very good education.
