The communal association "LAS CUMPLIDAS" is beginning its first year in the Los Andes activity center. The association is comprised of nine members, with the board of directors being presided over by Mrs. Amalia, president, Mrs. Elsa, treasurer, and Mrs. Gregoria, secretary. The members of the association all have different businesses, among which are sales, production and services: juice sales, clothing sales, athletic shoe sales, macrame craft-making, and brick-laying.

The president, Mrs. Amalia, is 31 years old and the mother of two children. This is her first work experience with the association. For five years she has been selling athletic shoes, which is the trade she learned from her mother. She buys the merchandise in Iquique, Peru and in other cities in Bolivia, such as Cochabamba. Mrs. Amalia works alone. She plans to use the loan to buy brand name athletic shoes so she can increase sales. When we asked her what she liked most about Pro Mujer, she said, "Everything.".

La Asociación Comunal ”LAS CUMPLIDAS”, está iniciando su primer ciclo en el Centro Focal de Los Andes. Esta asociación comunal cuenta con la participación de nueve integrantes. La mesa directiva tiene como presidenta a la señora Amalia, como tesorera a la señora Elsa y como secretaria de actas a la señora Gregoria. Los negocios de las socias de esta asociación son diferentes, entre ellos tenemos comercio, producción y servicio: venta de jugos, venta de ropa, venta de tennis, elaboración de artesanías en macramé, albañilería, venta de tennis (zapatos deportivos), venta de ropa, venta de combinaciones.
La presidenta, la señora Amalia es una mujer joven de 31 años de edad, madre de dos hijos. Esta es su primera experiencia en el trabajo con asociaciones comunales.
Desde hace cinco años negocia con la compra – venta de tenis (zapatos deportivos), aprendió el negocio de su madre. Compra la mercadería del vecino país del Perú, en la ciudad de Iquique y viaja hasta otras ciudades de Bolivia, como Cochabamba, para vender los tennis. La señora Amalia trabaja sola en este negocio. Con el monto de crédito solicitado piensa comprar “zapatos deportivos de buena marca” y con ello mejorar sus ventas.
