Phat H. resides with her family in Prey Veng province, Cambodia, an area known as the largest rice-producing region in Cambodia. H. is a housewife, while her husband sells firewood, earning an income of US $2.5 per day. Each month, the family has to spend US $41 on food and US $90 on other necessary expenses.
H. is requesting a loan of US $1,000 to purchase a truck to transport firewood to sell. In the future, she would like to use the additional income to repair her house. This will be her first loan from CREDIT, a long standing Kiva partner.
KREDIT Ltd. is one of Kiva’s most established partners in Southeast Asia. The organization empowers the economically-active poor and small entrepreneurs by providing inclusive financial services.
