Srey H. is a 54-year-old widow blessed with four children, three of whom are employed in different jobs while the other one is enrolled in school. To earn a living, Srey H. sells items such as pork, beef and some vegetables in the busy market, in Siem Reap province. She typically makes around $3 each day to cover her family expenses. Srey H. will use her loan as a capital to buy additional meat and vegetables for selling. This will allow her to gain more income for supporting her family. In this way, she will be able to improve her family's standard of living.

The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
