Hannah is a widow with four children, all of whom graduated from school. They live in a rental house that has electricity but no piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is house rent. Hannah has operated a tailoring shop business for the past five years, selling to the local residents. In addition she also operated a second hand clothing business which contributes to her other source of income.
With the Kshs 50,000 she is requesting she wants to purchase materials and start a charcoal selling business. She decided to join Yehu because of loan efficiency.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
