Sypaada's Group
In this Group: Sypaada,
Sypaada J. is 19 years old, a young leader of this group. Unlike many of her peers she always knew exactly what she wants to do in life. When she chose her profession Sypaada was not driven by prestige or the demand of the profession, but rather by what she had a real aptitude for and what gave her gratification. She became a hairdresser.

When she was seventeen Sypaada finished a school of image making and hairdressing. Two years of working with experienced specialists in the country's capital helped her when she moved back to her home town of Toktogul to share her skills with her colleagues. Daily long hour shifts have increased her clientele base. Thus the monthly income for Sypaada is now 10000 soms. With more services offered in her salon there are more expenses. Most expenses include equipment, instruments and supplies. Sypaada plans to spend this loan mainly on buying additional instruments for the salon. Her biggest dream is to open her own beauty salon with highest quality service.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
