Datuni I. is 57 years old. He lives in the village of Tsereteli, Marneuli District with his family – wife and son. Datuni works in local poultry factory. Datuni’s wife works as a cook and his 22-year-old son is a wrestler. Besides their main jobs, all family members are involved in family agricultural activities: They have two milch cows and dairy products are sold to local retailers. Also the family owns a plot of land where Lucerne (alfalfa) is grown, which is used for feeding their own cows. Total average monthly income of the family is up to GEL 850.
With the requested amount Datuni plans to renovate/launch a traditional Georgian bread bakery, which is located in the building of his house. The bakery isn’t functional at the moment. After the bakery is renovated and launched, Datuni will bake traditional Georgian bread and sell it in the nearby villages. It will increase the income of the family.
Datuni hopes that he will reinvest part of the bakery’s profit in the same business, to expand it. With the other part of the profit he wants to buy a car for family use.
