Sabran lives in a small city of Punjab, Pakistan, called Kasur. Kasur is famous for its tanneries industry. She has been living there in a single-room brick house with her family for the past three years. She is 33 years old, married to M. A., and has five children. Only two of them are able to get an education due to the financial constraints of Sabran and her husband.
Both Sabran and her husband make and sell sweaters. They prepare them through thread machines and sell to different shops. Sabran also carries out her responsibilities of a housewife very well. She takes care of her children with great responsibility.
She has applied for a loan from the Kiva partner, Asasah, for her husband, who wants to buy thread in bulk to make sweaters in larger quantities. This will help him in completing the larger orders on time and make more profit. Sabran is a new loan applicant and this is her first loan application to Asasah.
