This Kiva borrower is a 57-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife. He has worked in a poultry shop since 2007. In parallel, he has owned an apartment since 2009. He cooperates with his wife who works in a lingerie shop to maintain the family financial level at a good stage. Recently, he got the idea of renting out the apartment so he can earn extra income.
So today, he is requesting to borrow $1000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to perform the needed maintenance on the apartment so it can be ready whenever a client shows up asking to rent it. In the future, he is hoping to buy more apartments and get into the residence dealer occupation.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
