He has several years experience making all kinds of furniture. He’d like to improve the level of quality of his work and provide his customers with better finishings of a higher level providing his items with more precision and fine touches. He wants to generate better profits for his family’s wellbeing as well as to invest in his small workshop to grow in the area thus creating more demand for his products.

This is his second loan from FUDECOSUR. He hadn’t had previous loans from state banks but FUDECOSUR provided the loan with better terms and a much lower interest rate.

Marco Antonio A. M., está casado y vive con su esposa que es su mayor prioridad. El quiere comprar algunas herramientas para la fabricación de muebles que le hacen falta en su ebanistería. El cuenta con varios años de experiencia en la fabricación de muebles de todo tipo y lo que él quiere es mejorar su nivel de calidad de trabajo y servir o cumplir a sus clientes con un mejor acabado de un nivel más alto, dándole más precisión a sus trabajos y finura. El quiere es generar ganancias para su bienestar familiar, al igual para invertir más en su pequeño taller e ir creciendo en el área hasta poder llegar a tener más demanda de sus productos.
Es el segundo préstamo que recibido de FUDECOSUR. El no había tenido antes otros préstamos en bancos estatales, pero FUDECOSUR le ha brindado el préstamo con mayores facilidades y la tasa de intereses mucho más baja.

FUDECOSUR works in one of the poorest regions of Costa Rica, where microfinance institutions (MFIs) are scarce or have a hard time keeping up with demand for small loans. By providing mostly agricultural loans, FUDECOSUR reaches rural borrowers that many MFIs consider to be too risky.
