Charles
Charles is a 30-year-old businessman who runs a cafeteria to earn a living. He also sells second-hand shoes to supplement his income. Most of his time he spends on selling shoes so he has employed four people to help him run the cafeteria. Prior to this, he was selling second-hand clothes. He hopes that someday, he will open a hotel.

Charles is very grateful to Kiva partner, Faulu Kenya, because he has received training in customer care from them. This has meant that he has been able to attract many customers to his business and his income has increased. He has requested a loan of 80,000 KES to buy a freezer, utensils and cooking ingredients and to install electricity in his business premises.
