Manuela
Mrs. Manuela T. is a member of the Progresista communal bank. She lives in downtown Cuenca, a city that was designated Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1999 because of its beautiful, historic city center. It has many places where nature can be admired in its entire splendor. Its residents keep its culture and traditions alive.

Manuela is 32 years old, married and has three children who are 13, 9 and 5 years of age. Her two oldest daughters go to school in the city and her youngest son is in Kindergarten. Her husband is employed in a factory. They do not own their house; they rent.

Manuela is originally from the city of Riobamba. She arrived in Cuenca 15 years ago, since she married. She’s a seasonal fruit vendor.

She will use the loan to buy fruit to stay in business. She is in her 4th loan with the communal bank where she has made many friends with whom she shares at each meeting. Her dream is to own a house.

La Señora. Manuela T. es socia del banco comunal Bankito Progresista, vive en el centro de la ciudad de Cuenca, ciudad que fue nombrada patrimonio cultural de la humanidad en 1999 por su hermoso centro histórico, tiene muchos lugares en donde se puede admirar la naturaleza en todo su esplendor, su gente mantienen su cultura y tradiciones.

La Señora. Manuela tiene 32 años, es casada y tiene 3 hijos de 13, 9 y 5 años de edad, sus dos primeras hijas estudian en una escuela de la ciudad y su ultimo hijo en el jardín de infantes. Su esposo labora en una fábrica, no tienen casa propia por lo que viven arrendando.

Doña Manuela es oriunda de la ciudad de Riobamba, llego a esta ciudad hace 15 años desde que se caso. Se dedica a la venta de frutas de temporada las mismas que vende ambulantemente.

El dinero de su crédito lo va a invertir en la compra de frutas para continuar con su negocio, se encuentra en su cuarto crédito que realiza en el banco comunal en el cual ha encontrado a muy buenas amigas con quienes comparte en cada reunión. Su sueño es tener su casa propia.
