This group is called 'El Limoncito' (The Little Lemon), and is located in the Tecoanapa municipality. The group members decided to give the group this name because the community where most of them are from is called El Limoncito as well. This description is about Mrs María Lourdes L. R., who is one of the group members. She is 40, married and has 4 children - José Luis, Miguel Ángel, Adelma and Erika. Only the youngest studies (in the third year of secondary school), as the rest are married. María sells meat, and has had her business for more than 10 years.

María chose this activity as it is the best thing to sell in her community, and also because she says it is a very good source of income which helps her to continue supporting her family. María will invest her loan in the purchase of more pigs and meat to continue her sales.

She says that her business has benefitted her a lot, as she is improving the quality of life for her and her family, and she can now support her husband more with the household costs and her childrens' education. She is also starting to establish a good economic situation.

María's goal for her business is that she continues to invest in it, as she wants it to grow. She is thinking about constructing premises to establish a butcher's shop, to improve her earnings and in this way continue supporting her children with their studies, so that they can gave a good professional career and a better future.

She tells us that the group works very well, as all the members know each other perfectly well and are very reponsible with their repayments, and above all, are hard workers.
