Sem K., 26, resides with her family in Takeo Province, Cambodia, an area known for its pre-Angkorean temples. K. and her husband sell mats and pillows, earning an income of USD 3.30 each per day. Each month, the family has to spend USD 45 on food and USD 107 on other expenses. K. is requesting a loan of USD 1200 to purchase more mats and pillows to improve the current business. In the future, she would like to use the additional income to repair her house. This will be her second loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner.
KREDIT Ltd. is one of Kiva’s most established partners in Southeast Asia. The organization empowers the economically-active poor and small entrepreneurs by providing inclusive financial services.
