Margarita, Irma and Domitila have been partners of the Banco Comunal Las Entusiastas for nine, two and nine years, respectively. They tell us that the Banco Comunal helps them by giving them capital for their businesses and, as a result, they can take care of their homes. In addition, they have learned how to be punctual and responsible. Margarita cultivates and sells fruit and ornamental plants and flowers in a spot in the Cooperativa de las Americas. She sells at wholesale and retail prices. Meanwhile, Domitila prepares and sells ceviche by wandering at the Huanta station. Previously, she traveled to markets with vegetables and fruits but she stopped this activity due to health problems. On the other hand, Irma sells Esika beauty products which she offers to friends and family. These women need loans of 600 soles, 300 soles and 400 soles which will be invested in the purchase of ornamental plants brought from Lima such as ficus, tulips, and roses, as well as in gardening tools, perfumes, lipsticks, nail polish, shampoo and fish. They will use their savings to educate their children and improve their homes. Margarita, Irma and Domitilia’s dreams are that their children become professionals, better than them, and that they can make improvements to their homes.
