The group BENKADI has four members who are married women. They all have around 32 year-old and about 2 children. Most of them live within polygamous families in Ouayerma I; one of the popular district of the city of Sikasso. Sikasso is the third administrative region of Mali. The women are applying to their first loan with the microfinance instiution Soro Yiriwaso to meet the needs of their clients. In this group of women, Madam Habi T. sells potatoes. She is planning of buying 400Kg of potatoes with the loan. She gets her supplies in the villages near by Sikasso and sells the potatoes with her family at the main market of Sikasso near the main roundabout. Her clients are men and women who pay cash. She plans of making a monthly profit of 32.500CFA. A part will be use to pay off her loan and pay the interests, the other part will be saved.

Les quatre membres du groupe BENKADI sont essentiellement des femmes mariées ayant une moyenne d’âge de 32 ans et ont en moyenne 2 enfants. Elles vivent la plupart dans des familles polygames à Ouayerma I un des quartiers populaires de la ville de Sikasso 3ème région administrative du Mali.
Elles sont à leur premier prêt avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de satisfaire le besoin de leur clientèle.
HABI T. fait le commerce de pomme de terre dans ce groupe de femmes
Elle compte acheter avec son prêt, 400kg de pomme de terre. Elle s’approvisionne dans les villages environnants de Sikasso.
Elle les revend au grand marché de Sikasso ville au niveau du rond point central et en famille à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes au comptant.
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice mensuel moyen de 32.500FCFA dont une partie est utilisée pour payer le prêt et son intérêt et l’autre pour son épargne.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
