Vaitoelau is a 52-year-old mother with 4 children. She runs a small business selling banana and taro chips in her village and at the market to earn a living. She has been doing this for more than 5 years.
Vaitoelau has requested a loan to buy taro, banana, and vegetable oil, as well as a fry pan and wooden spoon among other items to help her run the business. She hopes to use her profit to build a chips store in the near future and provide for her family's needs. Vaitoelau became a member of SPBD in 2009.
