Kwa Muhuzi Group's story
This group consists of five members who share a strong bond of solidarity and mutual support. They are requesting a loan from Victoria Finance for the fifth time and second time from Kiva lenders, and have proved to form a strong cohesion. Their main activity is paddy farming.
At the far right is Mr. Jumanne, who is the group's representative. He is 55 years old and is married with two children. He is a paddy farmer with 20 years’ experience in this farming. This loan of 3,000,000 TZS is intended to buy pesticides and fertilizers and to pay combined harvester fees during harvest period.
Since the loan is invested into commercial farming, the profit generated after selling of paddy is intended to support their children's education, buy family medical insurance, and most importantly save the other profits for next paddy season.
