Alice

Alice is 49-years-old and is a self-motivated business woman! She is the mother of five children, all of whom attend school. She resides with her husband and children in their village south of Efate, which is about a 13-minute journey to town. Her husband is a seasonal worker, and she operates a butcher shop to make ends meet. Alice launched her business three years ago with the goal of meeting her family's basic home needs.

Her current goal is to increase her meat inventory to meet consumer demand. However, she is financially challenged so she is requesting a loan to pay for additional frozen meats. The business proceeds will be used to pay for her home basics and future savings. Her aim is to buy private land to build a permanent home for her family.
