Magret's story

Fishing is a major industry on the islands of Vanuatu. Fishing can be done for profit or merely for food. Magret, aged 31, makes money from selling fish. Two of her three children are enrolled in school, and her partner is a bus driver. She lives 7 minutes from the main town in an urban area with her partner and kids.

Margret started this business with her partner as inspiration. Her company aims to provide the necessities for her family's everyday life. Her dream is to eventually buy a piece of land.

In order to meet the demands of her consumers, she is currently preparing to increase her fish supply. She is, however, having money problems.

Magret is requesting a loan to purchase a large Esky for her fish. Her business profits will be used to cover household expenses, children's school fees, and to save for the future. She will be able to grow her business and provide a better future for her children thanks to this financing.
