Mahamadou
Born on December 1985 in the town of Sikasso, Mr. Mahamadou Diabaté is married and the father of two children (a boy and a girl). He lives with his wife and children in a traditional extended family, together with his parents and brothers in Sanobougou I, a peripheral district of the town of Sikasso (the third administrative region of Mali).

After unsuccessfully trying to work as a baker, two years ago Mr. Diabaté launched a business selling mattresses in the area of Bobo Dioulasso in Burkina Faso. In order to meet the growing customer demand, a year ago he decided to join the Soro Yiriwaso microfinance institution . His first loan duly repaid, he is now seeking a second loan in order to bolster his buinsess capital. This second loan will allow him to purchase ten 15-cm mattresses, five 20-cm “double” mattresses, eight 20-cm “triple” [queen size] mattresses etc. He is very sought after by the local furniture makers. His mattresses are retailed for cash, and often on credit.

With this loan, he plans to achieve a monthly inome of 100,000 West African francs, which will basically be used to bolster his business capital, contribute to the family budget and pay off the interest on his loan.

Né le 23 Décembre 1985 à Sikasso ville, Monsieur Mahamadou Diabaté est marié et père de 2 enfants (1 garçon et 1 fille), il réside avec sa femme et ses enfants dans une grande famille traditionnelle avec ses parents et ses frères à Sanoubougou I, un des quartiers périphériques de la ville de Sikasso ( troisième région administrative de la république du Mali).
Monsieur D. après l’activité de boulanger sans succès, s’est initié il y a deux années à la vente de matelas en provenance de Bobo Dioulasso (du Burkina Faso). Pour satisfaire sa clientèle de plus en plus croissante, il décida de rejoindre l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso il y a une année. Il a bénéficié d’un premier prêt qui fut correctement remboursé, ainsi il sollicite un deuxième afin d’augmenter son fonds de commerce.
Ce deuxième lui permettra ainsi d’acheter, 10 matelas d’épaisseurs 15, 5 matelas d’épaisseur 20 “deux places”, 8 matelas d’épaisseur 20 “trois places”, etc. Il est très sollicité surtout par les menuisiers-ébénistes de la ville. Ses matelas sont vendus en détail au comptant et souvent à crédit.
Il envisage réaliser avec ce prêt un bénéfice mensuel de 100 000 FCFA qui sera utilisé essentiellement pour augmenter son fonds de commerce, contribuer aux dépenses familiales et payer les intérêts de son prêt
