Chhay S., 48, resides with her family in Takeo province, Cambodia, an area known for pre-angkorean temples. S. is a farmer, earning an income of 2 USD per day. Her husband grows vegetables to sell, also earning an income of 2 USD per day to help cover the family expenses. Each month, the family has to spend 18 USD on food and 49 USD on other necessary expenses. S. is requesting a loan of 1000 USD to purchase a new motorbike for the family's use. In the future, she would like to use the additional income to repair her house. This will be her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner.
