Mwanamisi is a single woman with two children – one is attending school while the other is still young for school. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
Mwanamisi has been operating a cashew nut selling business for the past three years, selling at the market to market goers. Mwanamisi faces a major challenge the seasonality of demand in her business. During the rainy season, the demand for cashew nuts is lower compared to other times. She hopes to expand her business in the future.
With the Kshs 20,000 loan, Mwanamisi wants to purchase sacks of cashew nuts to resell. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business and improve her living standards.
