Fatuma is a single woman who owns a house tha has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is the high cost of transport.
She has operated a second hand clothes selling business for the past four years, selling from home to her neighbours. Fatuma hopes to open more business in the future.
With the Kshs 15,000 loan she wants to purchase bundles of clothes to resell. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
