Delfina's story

Delfina is 30 years old and a very simple and hardworking woman. She lives in a rented house with her husband Emilio, 30, and their beloved son Yonifer, who is 8. They want to give him a better quality of life.

Delfina has worked very hard for many years to ensure that her crops are of a good quality. Every morning her husband heps her work her land so it is more productive. She sells the crops she grows, such as potatoes and peas, in the market in the city of Tarma, because that is where she can get the best prices. The part of her work that she likes best is the harvest. She has done this for 8 years and thinks the most difficult part is transporting her crops to the markets where they are sold. In time she would like to plant all of her fields to increase her production.

This is her eighth loan with MFP and she wants to pay her loan back on time so that she can take out more loans that can help improve her business. She knows that the community bank will support and guide her because she is a well-liked member of the group. With the 2000 nuevos soles she is requesting, she will purchase fertilizer and insecticides to improve the productivity of her farm.
