Martina, 49, is single and has an adult daughter who is already independent.

She has made ‘chipas’ and ‘chipitas’ (dough made from starch, a typical national dish) for over 20 years. She started out primarily reselling but later on with her effort and savings from her profits she was able to set up her own chipas factory in her home and to buy ingredients to make her own merchandise. Because of her good products she soon gained market share and established a good customer base.

She is asking for a loan to buy starch, cheese and lard. Martina thanks Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva ahead of time for the support and trust they grant her.
