Ruslana is divorced. She raises two sons by herself. Her husband doesn’t want to be involved and doesn’t help Ruslana financially.
Challenging circumstances forced her to find ways to feed her family. This is how Ruslana ended up as a market vendor and a small entrepreneur five years ago. Currently, she sells footwear in the local marketplace of her home town of Mukachevo. She has about 35,000 Grivnyas invested in her business.
Ruslana is known for her integrity and consistency in dealings with clients. She works hard to keep her venture afloat. This time Ruslana is seeking a loan of 20,000 Grivnyas to continue growing her business and working capital.
About HOPE Ukraine
HOPE International, a Christian faith-based non-profit organization, has been operating in Ukraine since 1997. HOPE Ukraine was the organization’s first international venture. In addition to its core microfinance activities, HOPE also supports an active children's ministry in Ukraine in the form of “Tomorrow Clubs,” after-school programs that teach children the gospel through games, skits and songs.
