Nyadzua is a married woman with five children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
She has operated a firewood selling business for the past one year, selling to her neighbours. In addition she also operates a food stall business which contributes to her other source of income. Nyadzua faces a major challenge with the high cost of transportation in her business. She hopes to expand and establish another business in the future.
With the Kshs 50,000 she wants to purchase bundles of firewood for sale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
