La señora Gloria Damaris tiene 4 hijos entre 3 y 12 años de edad, su esposo trabaja en La Concepción. Aduce que ahora la situación es un poco más fácil para ella desde que su esposo consiguió trabajo, ya que antes ella era la única que mantenía el hogar. Ella se dedica a la venta de ropa y frutas, con mucho empeño y esfuerzo ha logrado salir adelante. El préstamo será invertido en la compra de una pequeña cosecha de naranjas y ropa. La otra integrante es Junieth Guadalupe tiene su negocio que consiste en la venta de ropa nueva, los cuales principalmente los distribuye de manera ambulante aunque en su mayoría es por encargos. Ella tiene 2 hijos de 10 meses y 5 años de edad. Su próximo paso consistiría en ser más selectiva a la hora de obtener nuevos clientes. Ellas se han unido para mejorar las condiciones de su negocio por medio de los financiamientos.

Fundación Leon 2000 began operations in 1993 as the first microfinance institution to serve the western part of Nicaragua, a country which continues to be one of the poorest in the western hemisphere. Fundación Leon 2000 works to further the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises through credit services and management, applying the best credit industry practices and technical expertise.
