Lucy is a married woman with five children, four of whom attend school. She lives in a rental house that has electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are rent and school fees.
For over 11 years, she has operated a tailoring business, selling from home to her neighbors and passersby. Lucy faces a major challenge of the high cost of transportation in her business. She hopes to establish a bigger tailoring shop in the future.
With the 20,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to purchase rolls of cloth materials for tailoring and wheat flour for her doughnut business. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to improve her business.
