Chynar D. is a 45-year-old single mother of two daughters. She was born in the south of Kyrgyzstan and after finishing school, she moved to the neighboring country of Kazakhstan. After graduating from college in Kazakhstan, she worked as a cashier at the railway station. In 1986, Chynar got married and soon became the mother of two children. Unfortunately, her family life wasn’t happy and she decided to return to Kyrgyzstan.
In order to find means of subsistence, Chynar used her initial capital of 20,000 Kyrgyzstan soms (KGS) to start her business of reselling bathroom equipment. She has been selling the past five years and has become known as a reliable supplier of high-quality goods. She worked hard and managed to develop her business, which today brings profit about 9,000 KGS in a month.
To expand her business, Chynar borrowed one loan from Bai-Tushum and Partners, which was used as intended and repaid without any delays. Now Chynar plans to use this loan of 20,000 KGS to broaden the assortment of goods and increase her floating capital. With the revenues, she plans to hold her younger daughter’s wedding and give a good dowry to her.
