Mrs. Soukoura Traore is a single woman who is 44 years of age. She doesn't have children and she lives in a nuclear family in the village of Sanankoroba. It is located in the Kati prefecture, in the region of Koulikoro.

IN order to integrate him into the economy, Soukoura, who is a teacher by trade, took on a several business activities but finally decided to learn from her aunt the business of selling merchandise, including printed fabrics, wax cloth and the production and sale of incense. While in search for additional financial resources, Soukoura decided to join the credit program at the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso (Kiva Field Partner).

Soukoura plans on using her loan to purchase a large quantity of materials she needs to make incense. She makes her sales from her house and at the market in Sanankoroba, completing the sales in cash and occasionally on credit. Her clientele is made up of women and men.

Soukoura expects to earn a monthly income of 75.000 FCFA which will be used to repay this loan, to help her husband provide for the family's expenses, and to reinvest the remaining portion into the business.

Afin de s’insérer dans la vie économique, Sounkoura, qui est enseignante de formation entreprena plusieurs activités mais finit par apprendre auprès de sa tante, le commerce d’articles divers tels les pagnes fancy, wax et la fabrication et vente d’encens. Elle a cinq ans d’expériences dans le domaine, elle est très sollicitée.
Dans ses recherches de ressources financières complémentaires, Sounkoura décide d’adhérer au programme crédit de l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso.
Sounkoura compte utiliser son prêt pour acheter, une grande quantité de matières premières entrant dans la fabrication de l’encens. EIle effectue sa vente à domicile et au marché de Sanankoroba, au comptant et rarement à crédit à une clientèle composée de femmes et d’hommes.
Sounkoura espère réaliser un bénéfice moyen mensuel de 75.000 FCFA qui sera utilisé pour rembourser le prêt, aider son époux à subvenir aux dépenses de la famille et réinvestir le reste dans les activités.
