Gerelina L. is from the town of Trinidad. She is 43 years old. Gerelina is married and has 3 children aged 16, 14, and 12. To make a living, Gerelina owns & operates a business venture in the food sector, making & selling food. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes from making "puto" (rice cakes) and other delicacies for sale. Gerelina also helps her husband plant and harvest rice crops on their farm.
Gerelina joined CEVI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Gerelina is requesting a new loan of 6000 PHP which will be used to invest in expanding the business. This will be the first loan taken out by Gerelina from CEVI.
