La Banca Comunal “18 DE SEPTIEMBRE” es un grupo de 9 mujeres que han decidido formar esta banca comunal para recibir crédito, capacitación y atención en salud. La B. C. “18 DE SEPTIEMBRE”, es parte del centro focal de SANTIAGO II, están iniciando su cuarto ciclo.
Cada una de ellas tienen negocios propios, de diferentes tipos tanto de servicio como comercio. Entre ellos tenemos: venta de ropa, venta de regalos, vajilla y papel de regalo, venta de fruta, venta de ropa, peluquería, venta de medias, confección de mantas y polleras.
Para su organización, la B. C. 18 DE SEPTIEMBRE cuenta con una mesa directiva integrada por una presidenta, la señora Maria, una tesorera, la señora Eulogia y una secretaria de actas, la señora Evelia.

La Presidenta, la señora María, vive con su esposo y su hijo. El negocio de la señora Maria es la venta de vajillas. El mismo fue aprendido de la hermana, hace cinco años, le ayuda el esposo en las ventas. El préstamo solicitado fue por Bs.2500.- y será destinado para la compra de vajilla.

La señora presidenta ya ha sido socia de Pro Mujer dos años, cuando se le consulta que es lo que le gusta de la institución, ella responde “la capacitación”.
