Norn P., 26, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Phnom Penh City, Cambodia, an area known for the most populate city in the country. She sells groceries, earning an income of USD 5 per day. Her husband is a blacksmith earning an income of USD 5 per day to help cover the family expenses. Each month, the family has to spend USD 105 on food, 15 on the children’s education, and USD 45 on other necessary expenses. P. is requesting a loan of USD 1000 to purchase more groceries to stock the store. In the future, she would like to use any additional income to purchase more groceries to expand her business. This will be her first loan from CREDIT, a longstanding Kiva partner.
