Raisa is married with two teenage daughters. She is a small market entrepreneur from Ivano-Frankivsk. Raisa sells household items such as candles, shoe polish, seeds, farming chemicals, etc. in the central marketplace ‘Troyan’ with the help of her husband. Raisa has been in this trade for 4 years. Presently, she earns 7,000 Grivnyas each month.
Raisa is seeking a loan of 8,000 Grivnyas to purchase assorted candles as well as seeds for the upcoming spring farming season. Her business is the main source of income for her family. Raisa is hoping to generate sufficient income to help both of her daughters through college. Besides running the business, Raisa is also a columnist for a local newspaper called ‘ZPS-Inform’.
