They live in different parts of the city of Cuenca which is the third most important city in the country. This city's people, gastronomy, culture and the beauty of its nature make it great.

Narcisa Sigüenza is a member of the 'Hermano Miguel' community bank. She lives in El Salado sector, in the city of Cuenca. She is 43 years old, married, and has three children aged 23, 20 and 18. Her eldest two children are married and live independently. Her youngest daughter helps her in her work. Narcisa's husband lives abroad, looking for a better job to improve their household finances. Narcisa does not own her own home but rents instead.

Narcisa makes and sells ice cream. She has been in this business for 18 years. She sells her products all over the city and also makes deliveries. She works from Sunday to Sunday, from 7.00am to 1.00pm. This is her fourth loan through her community bank. She was invited to join the community bank by a friend and she will use her loan money to invest in buying more products with which to make her ice cream. Narcisa's dream is to buy a plot of land on which to build her own house.

Nancy C. is a member of the 'Hermano Miguel' community bank. She lives in Las Orquídeas sector, in the city of Cuenca. This is Nancy's seventh loan through our foundation and she was invited by her mom to join the community bank.

Nancy sells all kinds of clothes. She has been in this business for 2 years. She works three days a week, from 7.00am to 5.00pm. In the evenings, she studies at a school in the city where she is in her fourth year.

Nancy is 22 years old. She lives with her partner and has a one year-old child. Her husband also sells clothes. They don't have their own home but rent instead. Nancy will invest her money in buying clothes to better stock her business. Her goal is to own a vehicle so that she can transport her merchandise.

El banco comunal Hermano Miguel esta formado por 8 mujeres que en su mayoría son familiares, se dedican a diferentes trabajos que les han permitido ayudar en la economía de sus hogares, viven en diferentes lugares de la ciudad de Cuenca que es la tercera ciudad más importante del país. A esta ciudad le hace grande su gente, su gastronomía, su cultura y la belleza de su naturaleza.

La Señora. Narcisa Sigüenza es socia del banco comunal Hermano Miguel, vive por el sector del Salado en la ciudad de Cuenca, tiene 43 años de edad, es casada y tiene 3 hijos de 23, 20 y 18 años de edad, sus dos primeros hijos son casados y viven independientes, su ultima hija le ayuda en su trabajo. Su esposo vive en el extranjero en busca de un mejor trabajo para mejorar la economía de su hogar, no tiene casa propia por lo que vive arrendando.

Se encuentra en su cuarto crédito que realiza en el banco comunal y fue invitada por una amiga, el dinero de su crédito lo va a invertir en la compra de más producto para la elaboración de sus helados. Su sueño es comprarse un terreno para construir su casa.

La Señora. Nancy C. es socia del banco comunal Hermano Miguel vive por el sector de Las Orquídeas en la ciudad de Cuenca. Nuestra socia se encuentra en su séptimo crédito que realiza en la fundación y fue invitada por su mamá a formar parte del banco comunal.
Se dedica a la venta de todo tipo de ropa, esta actividad la realiza hace 2 años, labora tres días a la semana desde las 7 de la mañana hasta las 5 de la tarde, por las noches estudia en un colegio de la ciudad y se encuentra en cuarto año.
La Señora Nancy tiene 22 años de edad, vive en unión libre y tiene un hijo de un año de edad, su esposo también es comerciante de ropa, no tienen casa propia por lo que viven arrendando.
El dinero de su crédito lo va a invertir en la compra de ropa para surtir más su mercadería. Su meta es tener un vehiculo para poder trasladarse con su mercadería.
