Beatrice M. is 48 years old and lives in the town of Bugiri in the Iganga region of Uganda. She is married and has four children, all of whom are currently in school. Beatrice has a boutique business, which she has run for less than a year.
To help expand her business, Beatrice has requested a loan of 2,000,000 UGX from Kiva partner, BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase clothes. With the help of her loan from BRAC, Beatrice hopes to generate greater profits and pay school fees. In the future, Beatrice hopes to expand her business further.
