The Communal Bank “23 de Julio” (23rd of July) will begin its ninth cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Centro Focal de Cascada. The group consists of eight members and is directed by an executive council made up of the president, treasurer, and secretary. The businesses that the members of the communal bank have are varied: candy stand, selling refreshments, selling and repairing homes, selling candy and beverages, selling cattle, selling AVON products, making party supplies, embroidery.

In the case of Fanny, president of the Communal Bank, she has as a business selling party supplies. 6 years ago she learned this business from her brother-in-law and since then she travels to Desaguadero to bring merchandise and sells it in the city of La Paz, in a commercial location called “La Tablada.” She sells every day from ten in the morning until eight at night. This location is highly frequented by shoppers as it is known as being inexpensive. Fanny counts on her brother-in-law’s support, as he helps her sell when she needs it.

Fanny is a very entrepreneurial person at her 29 years of age, in addition to her business she is a wife and mother of three children.

La B.C. “23 de Julio” iniciará el ciclo número nueve en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Cascada. Está compuesta por ocho integrantes, la banca comunal está dirigida por una mesa directiva compuesta por una presidenta, una tesorera y una secretaria de actas. Los negocios que las integrantes de la banca comunal llevan adelante son variados: Kiosco de dulces, venta de refrescos, comercio y reparto de víveres, venta de dulces y refrescos, venta de ganado, venta de productos AVON, elaboración de Cotillón, bordados.

En el caso de la señora Fanny, presidenta de la banca comunal, ella tiene como negocio la venta de cotillón, hace seis años aprendió de su cuñada y desde ese entonces ella viaja a la población de Desaguadero para traer mercadería y la vende en la ciudad de La Paz, en un lugar comercial llamado “La Tablada”, vende todos los días desde las diez de la mañana hasta las ocho de la noche. Este lugar de venta es muy concurrido por la población porque se conoce que es muy económico. La señora Fanny cuenta con el apoyo de su cuñado, que le reemplaza en la atención del puesto cuando es necesario.
La señora Fanny es una persona emprendedora, a sus veintinueve años, además de contar con este negocio es esposa y madre de tres niños.

Cuando se le consulta que le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde “el crédito”.
